About Swym App
SWYM APP allows you to meet and match with people at various widely attended events such as concerts, music festivals, conferences, parties, game nights and sporting events as well as everyday locations such as supermarkets, gyms, outdoor spaces, bookstores, and any other space where people congregate. Through the SWYM App you can maximize your social time by connecting with other mutually interested users in the same location or event as you!
Simply use the SWYM App to find one of the many events in your geographic area (or if there isn’t a SWYM event (pool) already ongoing you can launch one of your own. Once you have chosen an event, login and start SWYMing to search and match with other users who are also interested in meeting you.
After matching with that special someone, use the SWYM App to exchange messages and makes plans to meet face to face at the same event (or keep in touch and connect at another time).
The SWYM App removes all of the awkwardness of meeting someone for the first time by facilitating genuine connections that are based on mutual interests, activities and hobbies - the ultimate icebreaker!
As an event host, promoter or any other party interested in hosting their own SWYMing pool, you can use the app to launch your own pool or contact us directly to setup a sponsored pool, allow SWYM to enhance your event.
How Does the SWYM App Work?

Just What You’re Looking For: Open the SWYM app and find ongoing events happening close by. You can search for events or tap any event on your dashboard to find out more details.
Break The Ice: Fill out your profile and ice breaker questions which will help other SWYMers get to know you better. Once you are SWYMing at an event you can use the ice breaker questions to get to know others better and they make for great conversation starters once you match with someone.
Match & Meet: Use the Swym App to search for and match with other users at the same event. The SWYM App will notify you when you have a match and from there you and your new connection will be able to message and meet right away, The SWYM app ensures that only users at the same location can join a SWYMing pool and match with you. If a user leaves the location they are automatically removed from the pool. Once you match you can message and meet up right at the event or choose to meet at another time.
Create Your Own Pool: Whether you’re hosting an event or looking for an easy way to help others connect you can create a SWYMing pool of your own. It’s as easy as visiting the options screen, tapping “Launch A Pool”, entering your event details and tapping “Submit”. Once that’s done your event is all set*!

The concept for SWYM was hatched by two NYC professionals with over 17 years of product management, marketing, business development and intellectual property experience. More than that the app is the brainchild of years of interacting, attending events and dating in various cities. Taking from our experiences and many others we’ve come into contact with has allowed us to put forth a product truly focused on helping people connect.
Jeffrey Chery - CEO/Co-Founder
Jeffrey Chery is a trademark attorney who has worked on prosecuting over 2,000 trademarks as a practicing attorney. Mr. Chery also has previous experience working on business development and licensing matters with the National Basketball Association.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Sports Management (with a minor in Business Administration) from University of Florida and completed his law degree at St. John's University School of Law.
Terrence W. Liverpool - COO/Co-Founder
Terrence Liverpool is a digital strategy professional and a product manager with a wealth of experience at launching innovative category leading products in industries that include Media/Entertainment, Consumer Goods, Live Events and Financial Services.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Cornell University and completed his MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship at the Simon Business School (University of Rochester).

What is SWYM?
SWYM is a connections app that enhances the dating experience for anyone at a widely attended event or location. SWYM creates a searchable dating pool of attendees that choose to check in on the app. Once users check in they have the chance to match with other users at the event.
How does SWYM work?
SWYM allows you to connect when and where you are and eases the act of engagement and natural conversation. With SWYM you can join or create a dating pool at any event. Once you join a SWYMing pool you can review the profiles of possible connections, learn more about them and read the ice breaker questions that will make your first interaction much easier. After you match you can choose to meet up right there at the event or to connect at another time.
If you happen to leave the location of the event while checked in you will be kicked out of the SWYMing pool as only those at the location of the event can join and participte in a pool.

Where can I use SWYM?
You can use SWYM at pretty much any event or location…..party, concert, festival, sporting event, convention, trivia night, bookstore, open space, school function, house gathering you name it! The beauty of SWYM is that we put the power of connecting into your hands. Anyone can choose to host a SWYMing pool, and you can launch a pool from any location simply by entering the address (or longitude and latitude of your location) and adding a few other details about your event. SWYM app is only available in the United States at the moment however we wil keep you posted as we look at growing the availability of SWYM.
Do I have to pay for SWYM or is it free?
You can use the SWYM app for free, there is no charge to join a SWYMing pool. If you would like to create your own SWYMing pool there is a fee associated with launching a pool.
For a regular SWYMing pool the cost is $6.99 and this allows you to schedule a pool for up to 24 hours.
For a Sponsored SWYMing pool currently you have to reach out to [email protected]. When you purchase a sponsored pool you can schedule pools that run longer than 24 hours. In addition to that, we will soon offer packages that allow you to message attendees and include branding as well depending on the package you choose.
How can I pay to launch my own SWYMing pool?
You can pay for a pool directly in the app. We use the secure payment functionality of Stripe, this allows you to use any major credit card, Apple Pay (on iOS) or Google Pay (on Android) to pay for a pool in a quick, safe and secure manner.
How do I create an account?
You can create an account by signing up with your Facebook or Google account. You can also sign up for an account directly with SWYM, enter a few details and in a few minutes you’ll be all set.
I'm hosting an event how can SWYM help me?
SWYM is the Ultimate Icebreaker and it fosters interaction at any event. If you want to increase buzz and attendance for your event and also ensure your attendees will have a great time download the SWYM app right now or contact us at [email protected] to discuss hosting your own Sponsored SWYMing pool.
How can I delete my profile on SWYM?
We're sorry to see you go and hope if you do decide to stop using our app it's because you made a great connection (do let us know). To delete your account tap 'Settings' on the 'Options' screen and if you scroll to the bottom of the screen you will see the 'Delete Account' button. Once you tap and confirm that you want to delete your account it will be deleted.
How do I edit my profile?
Visit the 'Options' screen by tapping the three lines icon on the top left of the 'Dashboard' screen. Then tap the "Edit Profile" button on the 'Options' amd enter any updates. Be sure to tap the Done button to save any changes.
How do I unmatch with someone?
Visit the chat area tap on the chat bubble for the user you would like to unmatch, tap the three dots in the upper right corner and tap end chat. This will allow you to end your connection.
How can I report someone?
To report a user who is making you feel uncomfortable or violating the terms of SWYM app in anyway. Visit the Chat area, tap on their chat bubble, tap on the three dots in the upper right corner and then tap 'Report User' to report that individual.
How does messaging work on SWYM?
Once you match with someone they will appear in your connections section on the Chat screen. You can then choose to message with them by tapping on their bubble and messaging them. Once you match you can choose to message at that event/location or you can message your connection at another time.
What should i do if I experience any issues when using the app?
We want to know if you run into any issues, we are always working to improve SWYM. Message us at [email protected] with any issues or concerns.
What is the minimum age requirement for SWYM?
You must be 18 years or older to use the SWYM app.
Can I use SWYM anywhere in the world?
No, unfortunately at the moment SWYM is only available in the United States however we wil keep you posted as we look at growing the availability of SWYM.
